Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to orders placed through michaelsfoodstore.co.uk. Please read them before ordering.

1. Who we are

2. Placing an order

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed once we confirm the order has been accepted. We may decline an order if an item is unavailable, if there is a pricing error, or if we cannot verify age for a restricted product.

3. Age-restricted products

It is an offence to buy or attempt to buy alcohol, tobacco or vaping products if you are under 18, or to buy them on behalf of someone who is. We operate Challenge 25 and will refuse the sale if valid photographic ID is not produced. Refused items are refunded.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. We take payment when the order is placed. If an item is unavailable and no substitution is accepted, that item is refunded.

5. Substitutions

Where an item is out of stock we may supply a close alternative. You are charged only for what is supplied, and you may refuse a substitution at the door.

6. Delivery

Delivery areas, charges and times are set out on our Delivery & Collection page. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Somebody aged 18 or over must be present to receive an order containing age-restricted items.

7. Cancellations and returns

See our Refunds and Returns Policy. Your statutory rights are not affected.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Scots law and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published when you order is the one that applies.
